This experience takes you beyond the typical tourist path and into the breathtaking highlands of Kintamani, home to the island’s most iconic volcano: Mount Batur.
Begin your journey with a traditional Barong and Keris dance performance, symbolizing the eternal struggle between good and evil in Balinese mythology. From there, explore vibrant artisan villages where master craftsmen create intricate works of gold, silver, and wood. Wander through the Tegalalang rice terraces, a symbol of Bali’s harmonious relationship with nature.
As you ascend into the highlands, be awestruck by the dramatic view of Mount Batur and Lake Batur, one of the most photogenic vistas in all of Bali. Enjoy a scenic lunch overlooking the volcanic landscape, surrounded by cool mountain air.
Later, step into the sacred Tirta Empul Temple, where ancient purification rituals still take place in holy spring waters. Finally, unwind at a local coffee plantation, where you can taste the world-renowned Luwak Coffee and a variety of herbal infusions.
Whether you’re a nature lover, a cultural explorer, or simply seeking peace and inspiration, this tour offers a perfect glimpse into the spiritual and natural richness of the Island of the Gods.
Watch the famous Barong and Kris Dance, a traditional Balinese performance depicting the eternal battle between good (Barong) and evil (Rangda). The show is rich with elaborate costumes, mystical music, and spiritual symbolism – a perfect introduction to Balinese culture and mythology.
Experience a traditional Balinese coffee plantation where you can learn about the process of making various types of coffee and herbal teas. Taste Bali’s famous Luwak Coffee, the most expensive coffee in the world, while enjoying a peaceful jungle view.
Visit Tirta Empul, a sacred water temple known for its holy spring water where locals and visitors participate in purification rituals. The temple, built in 960 AD, offers a deep insight into Balinese spirituality and architecture.
Enjoy the stunning panoramic view of Mount Batur, an active volcano, and Lake Batur from the Kintamani highlands. This is also a great spot for lunch at a local restaurant with volcano views. A great chance for photos and to relax in the cool mountain air.
Explore the iconic Tegalalang Rice Terraces, famous for their lush, green landscape and traditional Balinese irrigation system known as Subak. You can walk along the terraces, take beautiful photos, or try the swings overlooking the valley.
We recommend wearing light, comfortable clothing and walking shoes or sandals. When visiting Tirta Empul Temple, a sarong and sash are required as a sign of respect, especially if you wish to enter the inner temple or participate in the purification ritual. These are usually provided at the temple, or your guide can assist you.
Lunch is typically not included in the base price unless specified during booking. However, we stop at a restaurant in Kintamani with a stunning view of Mount Batur where you can choose from buffet or à la carte options. Your guide can assist you with restaurant recommendations and menu choices.
